Fanny Brawne‘s engagement ring, ca. 1820

The engagement ring which John Keats gave to Fanny Brawne. Fanny Brawne wore the ring until her death in 1865. The stone is an almandine (a type of garnet), set in a gold openwork scrolled shouldered hoop.
