Annie Oakley & her two wards Gladys & Della Baker by Gray (Boston), 1900

Annie Oakley and her husband Frank grew close to Gladys and Della, the two daughters of Buffalo Bill’s protégé, Johnny Baker, especially after the girls’ mother died. Frank was godfather to Gladys.
