She was the daughter of Ulick John de Burgh, 1st Marquess of Clanricarde (see his wikipedia link here) and Harriet de Burgh, Marchioness of Clanricarde. She was the wife of Wentworth Blackett Beaumont, 1st Baron Allendale, see his wikipedia link here. He was a British industrialist and Liberal politician. Allensdale was the owner of major estates and mines in Northumberland and also sat as Member of Parliament for Northumberland South from 1852 to 1885 and for Tyneside from 1886 to 1892. In 1906 he was raised to the peerage as Baron Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham in the County of Northumberland.

She was the mother of Violet Augusta Beaumont; Wentworth Beaumont, 1st Viscount Allendale; Margaret, Baroness Poltimore; Major Hon. Edward de Grey Beaumont; Hon. Hubert George Beaumont and Amy Virginia Knatchbull-Hugessen.

She was the sister of Lady Elizabeth Joanna Lascelles; Lord Dunkellin; Emily Charlotte, Countess of Cork; De Burgh; Hubert de Burgh-Canning, 2nd Marquess of Clanricarde and Harriet Augusta Vernon-Wentworth.
