Young girl of the Hurd or Powell family, ca. 1850s
The family had identified this image as Elizabeth Mary Hurd but, as she was born in 1823, she was too old by 1840 to have been the subject of this portrait. It is possibly a daughter or younger sister of Elizabeth Mary (Hurd) Powell.
