On the painting we see: Joseph, Duke of Saxe-Altenburg; Amalie of Württemberg; Alexandra Iosifovna of Altenburg; Princess Elisabeth of Saxe-Altenburg – later, by marriage, she was known as The Grand Duchess of Oldenburg.
On photographs Princess Elisabeth was far less charming than on the above painting. See my other post here.
