Portrait of Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1822-1857), Duchess of Nemours by Franz Xaver Winterhalter, 1840
The image below was applied to a Sèvres vase by François Aldophe Moriot after Winterhalter:
This pair of Lancel Vases, third size, dated 1843, are painted by François Aldophe Moriot, active at the Sèvres factory from 1837 to 1844. They are painted with portraits of the duc and duchesse de Nemours, son and daughter in law of the King Louis Philippe. They were delivered to the King Louis Philippe when exiled at Claremont Castle, Surrey, England in August 1850, just a few days before the death of the King.
