Elisabeth Höusermann ~ 1850s-60s

Albumen silver print from glass negative by Franz Antoine (Austrian, 1814–1882). In this photo Elisabeth is wearing the same dress as in this photo here (in which she wears a kind of jacket over the dress, and she wears a similar bonnet, see close up in photo below), and here, where the bodice of the dress is clearly visible (see second photo below). It has striped ribbon bow decorations, it is open in the front with a chemisette underneath. Note the large dots on the bonnet ribbon, the elaborate lace collar and matching under sleeves. Note also the buttons on her cape jacket. And finally, Elisabeth has a faint smile on her face. I wonder how old she must be at the time of the photo. Somewhere in her 40s?
