Queen Josefina of Leuchtenberg by Bertha Valerius, before 1896
I have not been able to find a precise date of this painting. If you compare this painting with a similar photo taken two years before her death in 1874 (see this post here), it seems to me that this painting is depicting Josefina in the last years of her life, thus somewhere 1870s. I wonder if it was painted posthumously? There is a photograph of Josefina by the same Bertha Valerius, who was also a photographer, see other post here.
