Mrs. B. Fisher by William James Topley, March 1876
Mrs. B. Fisher is dressed up for a fancy dress ball hosted by Lord and Lady Dufferin on February 23, 1876. A description of her costume appeared in the Toronto Globe on February 24, 1876 (pg 4), which reads:
“Court dress; sea-green silk dress, richly trimmed with Maltese lace; black velvet court train; pearl ornaments; powdered hair; head-dress of diamond, pearls and feathers.“
