Pregnant Lady, 1872

Pregnant Lady by Gusztáv Löger (Nitra, Slovakia), 1872

Handwritten on the back of the card it says “Palm Hermin (N.A. – 1928)“. The city Nitra used to be called Nyitra in Hungarian and Neutra in German.

It looks very much like the lady is pregnant, with that wide jacket, as if discretely hiding a bump.
