Leaning Lady, ca. 1850s

Oblique, three-quarter-length daguerrotype study of a Victorian lady leaning against a piece of furniture, her left elbow resting on a book thereon, a handkerchief held in her right hand. She wears a dark dress with high collar, gathered at the waist by a sash. In a red leather case with two fasteners. By Mr. Kilburn, 2...9 Regent Street.
