Elisa Beer-Oppenheim by Eduard Isaac Asser, c. 1854 – c. 1855
Interesting plaid ribbon trim on the dress. What I find most intriguing though is the male figure looming behind the lady on the right hand of the above photo. Very ghostly. Is he her husband perhaps, checking on his wife being photographed?
